Ed Luna Sees

ARTISTIC STATEMENT:
The premise of "Ed Luna Sees" is a simple one: to make my explorations and observations more visible to the world. I therefore welcome new followers and friends wherever they may be found.

BIOGRAPHY:
Ed Luna (b. 1970) is a native Ohioan of mixed European and Mexican descent. He began to experiment with photography in his late teens, and went on to receive a BA in Photography & Cinema from Ohio State, with an emphasis on cinema studies, experimental film, and photographic sculpture.

In the proceeding years, Luna's interest in formal and fine art photography gave way to a snapshot and documentary style, which he used to document his time as a DJ and underground music promoter, and later, his pursuit of a master's degree combining dance, movement studies, and Brazilian folklore.

With the rise of digital, Luna has tried to take the documentary approach to another level, while merging it with his artistic eye to capture the things he sees.
